MEDUSA GORGON (Series RELIGIOUS) 2025, 68х95 cardboard, pencil
Medusa the Gorgon was once a beautiful young woman with extraordinary hair. Poseidon, taking the form of a bird, chased her and violated her in Athena’s temple. Enraged, the goddess transformed her hair into snakes and her face into a mask that turned any living being to stone. In my painting, the tragic Medusa, the god Poseidon, and the hero Perseus — the one who severed her head — appear together in a single scene.
